Our steak house name, IL CORDA means “the rope” in Italian. Warm, heartfelt watchfulness, care, and service in the Japanese style. Cuisine that makes most of the ingredients’ natural flavors, centered around our charcoal grilled steak. Here in our steak house located in Ho Chi Minh, we have terrace seating, private rooms, and seats at the counter, we have a range of areas adapted to the styles and needs of our many customers. Our steak house’s three “ropes” – people, food, and atmosphere – are treated with the utmost importance by all our staff, and we hope to combine them into one strong, thick “rope”.

Striving to produce great beef and a comfortable atmosphere
The history of Tsunaya, founded in Fukuoka in 1979, started with a butchery and has now lasted for 40 years. Using our supply routes and knowledge of butchery, we have established 14 restaurants mainly in Fukuoka Prefecture, with a focus on using quality meat. These include “Yakiniku Nurubon”, the Japanese style BBQ restaurant that buys Wagyu by the cow; Izakaya HANA, which serves charcoal grilled meat and pot rice; and Steak Garden KAZE-NO-OKA. Since the company’s inception, we have never compromised when it comes to meat, and we maintain the highest standards: from our suppliers to our cooking methods, and to creating an enjoyable dining experience.

At IL CORDA, we use Japanese A5 grade Wagyu beef, Australian Tajima Wagyu, and Australian grain-fed beef. We have made numerous travels to check on the importation practices, preservation, and distribution, while also taste testing the meat so we can select only the best beef to use for our steaks. When we grill the meat, we stick to a manner that places as little stress as possible on the meat. It is gradually brought up to room temperature, then cooked using our original grilling method, which incorporates elements of the French style and low-temperature cooking, to give the steak that charcoal aroma without drying it out, so it retains its juices and stays moist and tender.
Our Focus on “AKON-YOSAI”
AKON-YOSAI: The tastes of Asia on a base of Italian cuisine
The theme of IL CORDA is “AKON-YOSAI” (Asian spirit, Western style). It means “to express the Japanese spirit and essence of Asian cuisine within Western cuisine, and skilfully blend them together.” So that our customers can enjoy IL CORDA steak, even more, our appetizers, soups, and side dishes use Italian cuisine as a base and use hidden flavors like Japanese spices and Asian flavors. Of course, you can’t forget about the drinks to go with your meal, and our drinks are also made with the spirit of AKON-YOSAI, featuring over 30 types of wine (predominantly Italian), craft beers perfect for a casual gathering, and Asian alcoholic drinks like shochu, sake, and Jinro.

A space made up of a variety of rooms
We have prepared several areas with different atmospheres to them, in order to cater to your own style and intentions. On the first floor, we have the counter seats (chef’s table), where you can watch the steaks being cooked right in front of you while eating your meal, and the bar counter where you can enjoy a casual drink or meal with a friend or two. On the second floor, there are the long tables, where you can casually enjoy a lively atmosphere; the terrace counter seats, where you can enjoy the natural scenery and feeling of openness; the semi-private rooms; and the private VIP room, which have a capacity of up to 10 people (reservation-only).
